Diego Magdaleno dominates Emmanuel L ucero

Las Vegas native Diego Magdaleno retained his NABF Super Featherweight Title with an easy 10 round unanimous decision over Emmanuel Lucero of New York. The three judges had Magdaleno winning all 10 rounds. The champion dominated the fight from the start by exhibiting his quickness and fundamental boxing skills. By the fifth round Lucero’s face was a bloody mess. The fights only knock down came in the seventh round when Lucero was floored from a straight left that found its mark. Lucero recovered but was never able to hurt Magdaleno. As the fight wore on Lucero became clearly frustrated at his inability to do any damage to Magdaleno. In the eighth round Lucero was calling for Magdaleno to punish him more, and Magdaleno happily obliged him.  Magdaleno remains undefeated at 21-0.

Mercito Gesta beats Ricardo Dominguez

Mercito “No Mercy” Gesta also won a unanimous 10 round decision over Mexican fighter Ricardo Dominguez.  The southpaw from the Phillipines some are calling the heir apparent to Manny Pacquiao cruised to an easy victory to take his undefeated record to 24-0-1. The only knockdown in the fight was a flash knockdown and it came in the third round when Gesto landed a straight left that dropped Dominguez.  The rest of the fight found Gesta dominating all the exchanges and was clearly the effective aggressor.

Jesse Magdaleno KO’S Garcia in round 1

Jesse Magdaleno make quick work of Gil Garcia with a very impressive first round TKO. The victory keeps the younger Magdaleno brother undefeated also with a record of 7-0.
