Uylsses Gomez To Make UFC Debut

Ulysses Gomez has proven a flyweight force for four years, picking up nine wins and a regional title against just two defeats. A longtime staple of the Tachi Palace Fights promotion, Gomez will be stepping into the UFC as a replacement for the injured Ian McCall.

Gomez has officially been tapped to face fellow promotional neophyte John Moraga (10-1) at UFC on FOX 4, which takes place August 4th at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Gomez vs. Moraga will air on the live Facebook prelims that precede the FUEL TV prelims.

Gomez currently rides a two fight win streak, having dispatched of Cody Gibson and Drew Bittner in his most recent outings. Both fights ended with Gomez securing tight chokes.

Moraga enters the bout riding a four fight win streak. His lone loss was suffered at the hands of The Ultimate Fighter Season 14 winner, John Dodson (who is undefeated in the last three years of professional competition).
