The UFC's Bantamweight division suffered another blow this week as the 135lb. champion Dominick Cruz will now be out another six to nine months due to complications while healing from replacement ACL surgery.

According to MMAJunkie.com who spoke with Cruz's trainer Eric Del Fierro, Cruz's body rejected the first ACL that was used as a replacement and corrective surgery was done this week to fix the issue.

The champ has not fought since October 2011. After a coaching stint on The Ultimate Fighter he was supposed to fight opposing coach Urijah Faber in June but the initial injury forced him out of the bout.

Cruz is in Los Angeles this week meeting with doctors to figure out an exact timeline for his return.
