Ed Soares Says Anderson Silva Will Finish 10 Fight Contract

Ed Soares Says Anderson Silva Will Finish 10 Fight Contract

After signing a long term, ten fight contract in April 2013, Anderson Silva kicked off the deal by losing the UFC Middleweight Championship to Chris Weidman at UFC 162. The “Spider” has been confirmed for the rematch against Weidman in December at UFC 168 and now his manager Ed Soares has gone on record to state that Silva will be around for a lot longer.

A guest on AXS TV’s “Inside MMA” , Soares told the hosts that Silva intends on completing his full contract:

“Anderson Silva will fight out the nine fights on his contract. But his next fight will be against Chris Weidman.”

What do you think? Contract or not, does Silva have nine fights left in him? Where does Silva go if he loses in the rematch?
