There have been rumblings over the last couple of months that former UFC Lightweight and Welterweight Champion BJ Penn has the itch to climb back into the cage after just announcing his retirement in October at UFC 137.

The rumblings have apparently turned to contract talks as Josh Koscheck dropped news via Twitter today that the UFC has offered him a match up against Penn, though he was waiting for his response.

“#UFC just offered me to fight BJ Penn…I said YES!!!!! Just waiting on him!!!!!! Let's scrap bra?”

After losing to Nick Diaz at UFC 137 Penn told the crowd “”This is probably the last time you're going to see me here,” Penn said. “I've got a daughter, another daughter on the way. I don't want to go home looking like this. I'm done.”
