Anderson Silva's shoulder check of Chael Sonnen during the weigh in's for UFC 148 last week drew the ere of the NSAC and nearly lead to a fine for the Middleweight Champ according to Executive Director Keith Kizer who spoke to MMAFighting.com about the incident and explained how Chael Sonnen played a role in the fine not happening:
“Chael willing to forgive Anderson went a long way with me and the chairman,” Kizer said. “He was very honorable, perhaps more than he needed to be, towards Anderson.”
“I told (Silva) if you ever do anything like that again you will not be invited to fight in Nevada again.”
Kizer added that, “if the next few Anderson Silva fights don't happen in Nevada, it won't bother me in the least.”
