President of M-1 Global and manager of Fedor Emelianenko, Vadim Finkelstein spoke this week about a potential bout between his client and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and confirmed during the interview that the fight was offered to their camp though it was ultimately turned down.

“There was an offer”, said Finkelstein, the former manager of Emelianenko to Gazeta.ru. “But Fedor, and everything depended on his decision, did not agree and decided not to continue his career.”

Both fighters ended up retiring from competition.
