With the UFC announcement earlier this week that the scheduled UFC 173 main event between UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman and Lyoto Machida now moved to July, the May PPV was left without a main event.
Enter the UFC Bantamweight Championship which will now be on the line May 24th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV as the current champ Renan Barao will attempt to defend his title against TJ Dillashaw.
UFC President Dana White confirmed the bout with USA Today.
