According to a new report from MMA Junkie, number one UFC Middleweight title contender Chael Sonnen will be on the Nevada State Athletic Commission's agenda next week at their May 21st meeting.
Sonnen will likely have to answers questions regarding a therapeutic use exemption he applied for two weeks ago. Sonnen's application is for doctor prescribed testosterone replacement therapy.
In the past, Sonnen has had issue with the NSAC due to comments made about executive director Keith Kizer during a suspension hearing with the California State Athletic Commission. Since then, Kizer has stated that he felt Sonnen has done his time and doesn't see any issues with licensing in the future. Though that remains to be seen.
Sonnen is expected to face UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva on July 7th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
